Ultra-Modern Farm
At Espring Farm, we are redefining commercial agriculture in Kenya by making large-scale farming accessible, transparent, and professionally managed. Based in the fertile landscape of Ngobit, Laikipia, our online and offline platform bridges the gap between ambitious investors and the technical demands of high-value crop production.
Whether you are looking to lease fully-equipped land, join a collaborative group farming project, or support critical agricultural infrastructure through our crowdfunding model, we provide the expertise and resources to turn soil into success. We handle the complexities of irrigation, integrated pest management, and seasonal cycles so you can focus on growth.
Below, you will find answers to the most common questions regarding our operational model, our commitment to sustainable farming, and how you can become a part of the Espring Farm community.
Espring Farm is a modern agribusiness hub based in Ngobit, Laikipia where you can rent as little as 1 acre to as much as 20 acres for agribusiness. We bridge the gap between land ownership and active farming by providing managed land, shared infrastructure, and technical expertise to help people farm profitably without needing to be on-site daily.
Our primary operations are in the Ngobit area of Laikipia County, Kenya. This region is ideal for horticultural crops like onions, tomatoes, and watermelons due to the climate and available water resources. We also have an office in Nakuru, Elgon View Building, opposite Hillcourt Hotel.
We lease out portions of our developed land to “tenant farmers.” Each plot comes with access to agribusiness infrastructure (piping, borehole, water pans and irrigation systems). You pay a lease fee, and we provide the space for your project.
Most of our clients live far away from Laikipia – Nairobi, Nakuru and even USA. Our managed service helps ensure their projects run smoothly. This means Espring Farm handles everything from seedbed preparation and seedling transplanting to chemical spraying and harvesting. You receive regular updates on your crop’s progress.
YES, you are allowed to manage your own farming operations once you lease a piece of land.
The soil and weather is friendly for most crops including maize, beans, potatoes, wheat, etc. However, we focus on high-value horticultural crops that can cater for the costs involved and leave enough profit for the farmer. Farmers have already made profit from:
Farming can be expensive for an individual. We organize people into groups (investment circles) to pool their capital. This allows the group to farm a larger acreage (e.g., 5 or 10 acres), reducing the cost of inputs and labor per person.
Once the crop is harvested and sold, the total revenue is calculated. After deducting the operational costs and Espring’s management fee (if any), the remaining profit is distributed to group members based on their initial percentage of contribution.
To expand our capacity, we allow individuals to fund specific infrastructure projects, such as:
Water Pans: Increasing storage for irrigation.
Solar Power Systems: Powering water pumps and other machinery at the farm to reduce fuel costs.
Storage Units: Large warehouse-like and ordinary buildings for storing harvested products, farm inputs and accomodating workers.
Contributors typically receive a fixed return over a set period. These returns are funded by the lease fees paid by farmers who use that specific infrastructure. The farm also generates money from selling fodder crops which is also directed at paying back contributors. Participating as a contribtor is a way to earn from agriculture without taking on direct crop risk.
In direct farming (Leasing/Group Farming), there are inherent risks like weather changes, crop diseases or market price fluctuations. We have no guarantees against these. However, Espring Farm mitigates these risks through:
Professional Management: Using optimized spray schedules and soil analysis.
Water Security: Utilizing large-scale storage and and multiple solar pumps for 100% redudancy to ensure crops never thirst.
Market Links: We help find buyers for the produce at harvest time.
For crowdfunding contributions to our infrastructure projects, we offer returns guaranteed by rent and sales from low cost crops such as fodder.
Yes! We encourage our partners and tenants to visit the site in Ngobit. Please schedule a visit via our website so we can ensure a team member is available to show you around.
